About

I work in tech. I’ve watched the software industry make some interesting choices over the years, and most things I encounter eventually fail to parse. It’s not because they’re broken, exactly, but because they require more context.

I put that context here. AI, open source, and the occasional rant. On rare occasions, I might write about gaming. I also spend a lot of time thinking about securing the software supply chain, which sounds more serious than it is, until something breaks.

I have strong opinions about many things and a healthy skepticism about the rest. If something I wrote is misinformed, you can tell me. Feedback is a gift, so I’m told.

I’m based in New Hampshire, which has excellent mountains and unreliable cell service. I have a dog. None of those things are particularly relevant to anything I write here, but now you know.

failedtoparse.com is independent. No one sponsors it. No one edits it. The opinions are mine, not those of my employer, and they occasionally reflect poor judgment, which is also mine.
